  • Scholarship Description
    Spectrum recruits and provides scholarships to students to assist individuals interested in obtaining a graduate degree and leadership positions within the profession and our organization. The aim is to increase the number of racially and ethnically diverse professionals working as leaders in the field of library and information science to best position libraries and institutions at the core of today's culturally-diverse communities.

    Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada and must be American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander and must attend an ALA-accredited graduate program in library and information studies or an ALA-recognized NCATE School Library Media program. Must be enrolled in an accredited program and must be able to meet the requirement to maintain a minimum course load of two classes per semester.
