Scholarship Description
Applicants for the Laura Fuoss Memorial Grant must: be a female student with a Bachelors’ Degree, entering or presently enrolled in a graduate degree program or working toward an advanced certification at an accredited university; and be a resident of the Morton School District, employed in Morton, a Morton High School graduate, or an AAUW Morton Branch member. Their minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 3.75 on a 5.0 scale.ADVERTISEMENT
Judging criteria for this scholarship will be based on: scholarly achievement; leadership in professional/civic organizations; occupational choice and career goals; reference evaluations; and a personal interview at the discretion of the committee. Please submit the application, one personal reference evaluation, two professional reference evaluations and official transcripts to the specified address. Since its inception in 1978, the scholarship has been awarded to further education in the fields of Law, Medicine, Business, Psychology, Education, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine and Music, to name just a few.
