Scholarship Description
To be eligible for the Google Student Veterans of America Scholarship, applicants must: be enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university in the US for the upcoming year; maintain a strong academic record; pursue a computer science or computer engineering degree, or a degree in a related eligible field; be a current student veteran (includes members of the National Guard or Reserve) as proven by a DD-214 and transcript, or a student on Active Duty as proven by submission of Active Duty orders and a Memorandum of Understanding from their commanding officer indicating that they are currently in good standing with their unit and transcript; and have received an honorable discharge, or is in good standing with their branch of service.ADVERTISEMENT
Students must submit a complete application, including: a current copy of a resume or CV; transcripts from their current and prior institutions (if they have earned a prior degree); two letters of reference from a professor, adviser or supervisor; DD Form 2-14 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD-214), or Active Duty orders and a Memorandum of Understanding from their commanding officer that they are currently in good standing with their unit; and responses to short essay questions.
