Scholarship Description
The Girls for Gaming Scholarship is available for women students and early professionals (recent graduates within their first two years in the industry) pursuing a tech career in game development. Eligible applicants must: have at least a GPA of a 3.3; be at least 21 years old; and be a full-time undergraduate student or a graduate student attending an accredited college or university or working as an early professional (within their first two years in the industry).ADVERTISEMENT
To complete this application, applicants must upload the following: a transcript and proof of enrollment (for student applications); proof of employment (for professional applications); a statement addressing their service, leadership, character and financial need; a personal statement (two-page maximum) including information about their studies and how they will benefit the game industry; and two recommendation letters (Recommendation letters must be from colleagues or professors from their current academic program, administration and/or professors who know them individually. Recommendation letters must address their potential to make significant contribution to the game industry through character, service or leadership abilities.)
