Scholarship Description
To be eligible for the Albanian Community Scholarship, applicants must: be a senior attending any high school in the state of Connecticut; be enrolled in a two or four year degree program at an accredited university or college; and be of Albanian descent. Awards will be merit-based; selection will be based on academic records, as well as the applicants' character, leadership and merit in the Albanian Community. Recipients will be notified by the end of May.ADVERTISEMENT
In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit: a transcript and/or their most recent report card; certificates of awards and honors; signed documents from school or organizations for activities and community involvement; and an essay (1-2 pages) answering assigned questions. The goal of this scholarship is to reward students with high academic achievement, who display the highest moral standards by being an active contributor to their community.
