Scholarship Description
The Victoria Merchant Saygbay Scholarship is open for Dallas-Fort Worth African American female high school seniors only. A minimum 2.75 GPA is required. Applicants must be planning to major in Education and have a career in education. Application must be completed and received by the application deadline date. An application will be considered for review only if it is fully completed with a single photo of the applicant (digital high resolution preferred).ADVERTISEMENT
Must submit 2 letters of recommendation: these may be from a professor or administrator or from a person in the community (i.e. minister, community affiliate, or chapter advisor) familiar with the applicant. Applicant will be required to write an essay no more than 1000 words typed double spaced, 12 pt. font. All applicants will be asked to attend a structured interview and must be present to be considered.
