Scholarship Description
At Abdo, we recognize the need for continuous improvement in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout our firm and the accounting industry at large. We believe that when we understand each other better, we grow better together. Part of our commitment is funding an annual scholarship and internship to an accounting student in good standing whose background, experience, personal attributes, and/or characteristics contribute to Abdo’s diversity, equity, and inclusion commitment and goals.ADVERTISEMENT
Abdo is offering a scholarship to cover tuition up to $5,000 to individual (s) who fit the following qualifications: Current student at a college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting; Accounting student in good standing whose background, experience, personal attributes and/or characteristics contribute to Abdo’s diversity, equity and inclusion commitment and goals; Demonstrate tangible commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion; 3.0+ overall college GPA; Authorized to work in the United States; Willingness and ability to complete a tax or audit internship with Abdo during the spring semester with the ability to work 40 hours per week during regular business hours. This internship is a paid position and will be classified as a non-exempt, hourly employee.
