Scholarship Description
SPALS is committed to supporting the education of our future professionals. Applications are accepted for our two $1,500 scholarships throughout the year, however, they must be received by September 1st for consideration during that calendar year. To be eligible, applicants must: be a US citizen; be an entering or continuing, full time student pursing a Masters orADVERTISEMENTDoctoral degree in Speech Pathology or Audiology at a Louisiana University; have at least a 3.2 GPA; and have a typed application.
We represent professionals working with students with communication disorders in schools in Louisiana. SPALS provides resources for speech pathologists and audiologists including information on conferences, legislative activities and policies. We have many purposes, including: to promote the professions of speech pathology and audiology; and to participate with other educationally oriented groups in organizing, developing, and promoting activities important to the educational programs of Louisiana and the nation.
