Scholarship Description
To be eligible for the LASF Scholarship, applicants must: be of Laotian descent who has graduated from high school for the current year; have applied to and will be attending a college, university or trade school; and reside within Western New York State. The application review criteria will include completeness of application, quality of essay, and high school achievements at both the academic and extra-curricular activities. All applicants will receive a scholarship award and the top three applicants will each receive an additional scholarship.ADVERTISEMENT
Applicants must provide a copy of their high school transcript, along with a written essay. Applications must be completed, mailed and post-marked by the set deadline date, or hand-submitted to any board member by the set deadline date. The scholarship monetary amount to be awarded will be more if there are not as many qualified applications for that year. Applicants must attend the LASF award ceremony to accept the monetary scholarship award.
