Scholarship Description
The National Pork Producers Council sole charge is to protect the livelihood of pork producers in the U.S. We do so by regularly meeting and convening with legislators and regulators in our nation’s capital and international trade organizations. To all, we stress the nutrition and hard-won safety of the pork products you provide consumers, that you raise hogs humanely, and the enormous contribution of the pork industry to the U.S economy and local communities across America. Throughout our generosity, we offer scholarships.ADVERTISEMENT
The Lois Britt Memorial Scholarship Program is awarded to students annually who intend to pursue a career in the pork industry with hopes that they may emerge as future pork industry leaders themselves. Eligible applicants must be a current undergraduate student in a two-year swine program or four-year college of agriculture (high school students aren't eligible), and be a US citizen.
