Scholarship Description
The WMCCAI Essay/Presentation Contest is open to all high school seniors within the WMCCAI service area (Washington, DC Metropolitan Area). Applicants must submit either a 500-700 word essay or 90-second media presentation on the year's topic. Applicants must also have a minimum GPA of 2.5. The award winner will be announced within 60 days after the application deadline, displayed in the Quorum magazine and on CAI’s website.ADVERTISEMENT
Judges will base their final decision upon: the best overall essay/presentation of the essay topic; how much detail is provided for the program that would be implemented; and how realistic the program is. Additional points will be awarded for essays/presentations that have been submitted to a community leader and the community leader’s written feedback is submitted. In addition to completing the essay or video, applicants must also submit a transcript and a fully completed application form.
