The St. Boniface Young Artist Showcase is open to local high school students and college students who hail from the Sarasota-Bradenton area (this includes local students who are pursuing a music degree from an out-of-town institution and music students attending a SWFL college/university). Our mission statement is: To encourage the public performance of the highest quality music from eager, committed and deserving local high school and college-age (pre-degree) performers; To encourage commitment from young performers; To positively engage audiences musically and personally; and to continue bringing the highest quality music to the Sarasota area from local artists.
Participants will be contacted via email with information regarding time of audition. All auditions are in-person and will be held at St. Boniface Episcopal Church. Selected Participant(s) will be awarded an opportunity to perform at St. Boniface in a recital. Participant(s) chosen to perform the concert will receive the scholarship towards their musical education. Ensembles are welcome to apply; in this case, the awarded scholarship will be divided evenly among the members.
