Scholarship Description
The Richards’ Family is pleased to announce the opening of its scholarship program to Kansas high school seniors. Scholarships will be awarded to Kansas residents graduating from a Kansas high school with a 3.0 grade point average who will be attending a Kansas public university, community college, trade or vocational school. These scholarships are aimed at families who may not have full resources for students to continue their education.ADVERTISEMENT
Family income of the student must not exceed 250% of poverty levels to qualify. Students must have an exceptional academic and community service record. Unlike many memorial scholarships available the Scott Richards Memorial Scholarship is not an "interest only" award. Rather, Scott's scholarship awards a fixed amount to each recipient. Applicants will be notified of the results in June and fund will be disbursed in August.
