Scholarship Description
The SEVACF Armed Forces Scholarship offers one $2,000 scholarship for the dependent of an active duty enlisted (E1-E9) Coast Guard or Navy personnel stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia, or the child/grandchild of a retired E1-E9 living in Portsmouth; graduating high school senior, accepted or enrolled in an ACE-accredited community college or four-year college or university with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. This scholarship is renewable. Previous recipients may apply for additional scholarships as long as they have a 2.5 GPA or higher.ADVERTISEMENT
The Southeast Virginia Community Foundation (SEVACF) is a nonprofit 501-C3 organization that connects people who care with causes large and small to benefit the communities we serve. Created in 2010 by the merger of the Portsmouth Community Foundation (1965) and Chesapeake’s Heron Foundation (2008), SEVACF has been serving the community for over 50 years.
