Scholarship Description
Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies is pleased to offer a year-long fellowship to a postdoctoral researcher to conduct original research on topics related to Philhellenism as a movement of the 18th and 19th century as well as a phenomenon whose manifestations and repercussions persisted in the years that followed. The appointed CHS Fellow in Philhellenism will receive a stipend of $12,000 to complete a research project of their own choice on the topic, will travel to CHS in Washington DC, participate in various academic activities, and have the benefit of several more provisions that pertain to their fellowship award.ADVERTISEMENT
This fellowship is organized in collaboration with the Society for Hellenism and Philhellenism (SHP) which provides access for research in the collection and archives of the Philhellenism Museum in Athens. The program is co-sponsored by the European Dynamics SA. Eligible applicants must be pursuing a PhD degree, and should be fluent in modern Greek and English and preferably based in Greece, as they will spend most of the time in Greece.
