On March 22nd, 2021, our friend Sahara was shot and killed three days after her 23rd birthday. While it is important to understand what happened, Sahara’s life will not be defined by this act of violence. Instead, she is remembered for the many lives she touched in her young life, and how many more people she will continue to inspire and impact through her legacy. Applicants must be women who are currently admitted/enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university with a cumulative GPA (at the most recent education level) of 3.0 and must currently reside in the United States.

Extra consideration will be given to applicants impacted by domestic violence and to applicants with an education/career in sexual health. Extra consideration will also be given to academic achievement, financial need and the student’s community service record. Applicants must complete the application by November 15th and include an essay of up to 1,500 words (500 words recommended) on why you deserve this scholarship. Winners will be selected by December 1st. Awards will be disbursed the following January. Upon being selected, you will be required to verify enrollment.
