Scholarship Description

At NYU, we don’t want money to stand in the way of your success. That’s why many of our students receive some form of financial assistance to help pay for their education. As a student at New York University, you will likely tap into one or more types of financial aid that include scholarships. New York University is committed to providing financial aid packages that take into account financial need. Unlike loans, if you receive a scholarship or grant from New York University or an outside organization, you will not need to repay those funds.

Rudin Scholars are outstanding entering first-year students selected from public and parochial high schools in all five boroughs of New York City. In addition to their scholarship, they participate in academic and cultural activities throughout the city. The program is named in honor of the late real estate developer and NYU alumnus Lewis Rudin. You will continue to receive your NYU scholarship during the regular academic year (fall and spring terms only) as long as you are a full-time student taking at least 12 credits. Part-time students taking between 6 and 11 credits will have their scholarships prorated. Credits need to be applicable to your degree progress.
