Scholarship Description
The Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, the Smithsonian’s museums of Asian art, offer a paid internship for high school students. A stipend of $1500 is awarded to Richard Louie Memorial Interns upon the successful completion of a two hundred-hour internship experience. The minimum of two hundred internship hours must be completed within the span of one year. Since their schedules are flexible and unique to each project, interns arrange their schedules in consultation with their staff mentor. No housing or transportation is provided. Applicants must be high school students, 16 years or older. Preference is given to students who are fluent in an Asian language and/or have demonstrated seniors interest in Asian art and culture. Applications are open three times a year. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.ADVERTISEMENT
