Scholarship Description
Applicants must be: High school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0; Attend either a high school in the Leake County School District of Carthage, MS, or Sam Houston High School of Arlington, TX. Must provide two Letters of Recommendation (LOR),ADVERTISEMENT3 Documented Activities outside of school (part-time work is acceptable), Up to 3-minute video submission on why you deserve the scholarship and a 300-word essay on a significant contribution you've made (or plan to) in your community. Application closes on May 12th at 11:59 pm CST.
Katherine Nash is a former student of Leake Central High School, formally known as Carthage High School. She transferred to Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas, in 2011. In honor of her 10th graduation anniversary, she will monetarily pour into students of her alma mater and through mentorship. Ms. Nash worked a part-time job and prioritized her studies during her time in high school. She founded and funds this scholarship to support high school students who are on the same path.
