Scholarship Description
The IWEA Environmental Career Scholarship is designed to aid students science minded students preparing for college. IWEA will award a $500 scholarship to a high school student who is college bound and interested in science and the environment. Scholarship winners will be introduced at the IWEA's Annual Conference. The IWEA will offer a reimbursement grant of up to $250 to the teacher who wrote letter of recommendation for the scholarship award winner.ADVERTISEMENT
Students must meet the following requirements to be considered for the scholarship: Be an Illinois resident and attend high school in Illinois; Be a college bound senior, willing to submit enrollment documentation before receiving the scholarship remittance; Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5; Submit a complete application packet to Scholarship Committee. IWEA asks that all applicants use our on line application form. The on-line application asks you to attach an essay/personal statement, a reference letter, and your transcripts.
