Scholarship Description
The IABC Houston Student Scholarship is in memory of Downs Matthews, an IABC Houston pioneer, to foster the communication profession. Undergraduate and graduate student applicants should be majoring in a field of communication, and either be attending a Houston-area institution or hail from the Houston area. Scholarship assistance is based upon academic performance, leadership potential, and financial need.ADVERTISEMENT
The Downs Matthews Memorial Scholarship is a one-time award up to $2,500. IABC Houston pays scholarship funds directly to the student. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.
