To further the advancement of the geospatial tradecraft, USGIF is dedicated to assisting promising students studying GEOINT, geospatial sciences, and related fields. The annual USGIF Scholarship Program recognizes the achievements of graduate students. Preference will be given to applicant's working in or planning to enter the defense and/or intelligence workforce. Applicants who are majoring in a field other than geospatial studies (or equivalent) must explain in detail how their future work depends upon and/or benefits geospatial intelligence. The Ken Miller Scholarship is only open to U.S. citizens. Your essay for the Ken Miller Scholarship should not give the impression of an extended résumé. Any description of work on major academic projects should be succinct and clearly reveal GEOINT relevance with a focus on MASINT.
